Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive engineering execution for R&D programs in Eaton’s Data Center portfolio, advancing energy and cooling technology roadmaps.
  • •Design, model, validate (FEA), and draft/document mechanical thermal solutions and product concepts using SolidWorks CAD.
  • •Define test plans and direct product testing with support from lab staff; develop final drawings/specifications and release processes in the PDM system.
  • •Develop and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products, and support production to ensure products meet specifications and customer expectations.
  • •Evaluate and develop next-generation cooling technologies and collaborate with global partners and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable end-to-end system performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering with 4–6 years of experience in a technical engineering role.
  • •Experience with mechanical engineering design and development of mechanical or thermal systems.
  • •Experience with CNC machining, sheet metal, injection molding, and tight tolerance components.
  • •Experience with closed-loop refrigeration systems, pneumatic actuation, automation, and thermal instrumentation (thermocouples, RTDs); thermoelectric coolers are a plus.
  • •Proficiency in CAD/3D solid modeling tools; SolidWorks 2018 (or newer) is preferred.
