Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a straight truck and trailers according to state and federal transportation laws, delivering loads safely and on time.
  • •Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain required DOT logs, and keep delivery paperwork like invoices and bills of lading.
  • •Use loading crew signals and assist with loading/unloading materials, including assembling customers’ loads from loading lists.
  • •Maintain vehicle and yard cleanliness, follow safety requirements and complete safety training, and report maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  • •Support yard inventory control and staging/transfer activities, and communicate delivery issues to the store manager to resolve incorrect orders/deliveries.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven delivery driver experience with customer-facing interaction.
  • •Experience operating a forklift and straight truck.
  • •Must obtain and maintain required state/Federal licenses for the vehicle weight and comply with DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass and maintain background and drug testing as required by DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand/walk/sit for 8+ hours, and work in tight spaces while loading/unloading and moving materials.
