Key Responsibilities

  • •Support preparation of high-quality, commercially astute bids and tenders for ecological services, particularly in energy, transport, and water sectors.
  • •Plan, schedule, and organize all phases of ecological project work to ensure resources, budgets, and controls meet programme and budget requirements.
  • •Support delivery of high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients, including check and review processes.
  • •Develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues.
  • •Produce ecology chapters for environmental statements and protected species licence applications; author or technically check project deliverables to ensure quality outputs.

Key Requirements

  • •Demonstratable experience planning and delivering ecological services on UK or Ireland projects.
  • •Well-developed understanding of relevant wildlife conservation.
  • •Membership of an appropriate professional institution and evidence of working towards Chartership (e.g., CIEEM or related).
  • •Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licences.
  • •A proactive approach to Health and Safety, with experience mentoring and supporting ecology team members.
