Key Responsibilities

  • •Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
  • •Ensure every position is filled before start-up of the production line and oversee supervisor schedules and product rotation.
  • •Oversee safety, quality, workers' compensation, and performance accountability, including promoting safety through daily actions and monthly meetings.
  • •Ensure machinery performance and that all workstations pass USDA inspection; maintain CCP verification schedules as required.
  • •Maintain accurate shipments, inventory rotation and product coding; keep records of reworked or returned product and provide continuous quality education.

Key Requirements

  • •3 years in a manufacturing environment (poultry preferred) and prior supervisory experience.
  • •Two years of Tyson employment or equivalent experience preferred, with familiarity with processing floor operations.
  • •High school diploma; education beyond high school and/or vocational or college courses preferred.
  • •Strong communication skills across all management levels and ability to perform human relations functions including training, retaining, and counseling.
  • •Understanding of basic HACCP principles and ability to perform CCP monitoring/verification; HACCP certification preferred.
