Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop electrical design documents for water/wastewater facilities, including single-line diagrams, load calculations, equipment layouts, panel schedules, cable/conduit routing, and grounding/lightning protection plans.
  • •Assist with motor control systems and low-voltage power distribution, including standby power systems (generators, ATS, UPS).
  • •Under supervision, perform short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies using industry-standard software.
  • •Draft and edit technical specifications, basis-of-design reports, calculations, and engineer’s estimates of probable construction costs.
  • •Coordinate with civil, mechanical, structural, process, and construction management teams; support quality reviews, submittal/RFI responses, and commissioning activities including site assessments and factory acceptance tests.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •US Citizenship is required.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites and clients.
  • •Knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), and awareness of IEEE and NFPA 70E practices.
  • •Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
