Job Summary

Develop and review HVAC-related cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications for materials, subcontractors, non-Trane equipment, and labor. Partner with account managers, project managers, technicians, suppliers, and customers to define project needs, evaluate solutions, coordinate equipment/control/service selection, and prepare bid and proposal documentation. Provide facility-related solutions and support the equipment sales team while ensuring accuracy and timely completion of estimates.

•Review plans and specifications and develop cost estimates, ensuring accuracy of quantities, size, configuration, voltage, and options for project materials, labor, and construction-related activities.
•Provide customer-facing knowledge and consultation by developing facility-related solutions to address customer problems.
•Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet HVAC system design and installation requirements.
•Develop, evaluate, and discuss solution options with account managers, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and/or customers.
•Coordinate selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services; prepare and review proposals and equipment submittals to validate equipment selection.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or business management preferred; minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in estimating, project management, engineering, HVAC, or construction management (or equivalent).
•Ability to review plans and specifications and develop accurate cost estimates for project quantities, configurations, voltage, and options.
•Strong communication skills and a proactive approach working independently and as part of a team.
•Experience meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with HVAC systems and/or temperature controls preferred.
