Principal Radiation Physicist

Lead radiation physics and shielding work across major defence programmes supporting the UK’s nuclear submarine contribution. Supervise and conduct assessments and experiments that underpin system qualification, while contributing to design optimisation and radiological safety justifications. Direct development of in-house toolsets, support detailed shielding designs within build constraints, and help advance the Radiation Physics and Shielding Team’s safety studies, metrology, and detector capability.
