Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trailers and equipment with little or no supervision.
  • •Document repair orders by uploading pictures of work performed, parts used, and findings using a company-issued iOS device and the TRAIT application.
  • •Repair and adjust trailer systems including trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, and brake chambers, including welding and fabrication as needed.
  • •Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical components and defective equipment using appropriate test instruments and tools.
  • •Respond to call-center dispatched unscheduled service requests and maintain parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including pre/post-trip inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3+ years of related trailer experience (or alternative combinations such as education/certification or 5+ years experience).
  • •Possess and supply required hand tools for the role.
  • •Complete DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license; obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File, with Class CDL C required.
  • •Required or obtained within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) certification (OEM training/certifications preferred).
