Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at assigned installations.
  • •Deliver financial education via one-on-one counseling, commander/staff consultations, and briefings/presentations.
  • •Develop and provide informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and conduct personal financial management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including age-appropriate sessions.
  • •Support virtual counseling and manage duty-to-warn situations according to DoD protocol while participating in supervision and training activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (may consider an associate degree plus 4 years’ experience, or a high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •Be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
