Job Summary

Perform structural engineering work under the supervision of a Professional Engineer for new and existing residential, institutional, and commercial projects. Design concrete, steel, light-frame wood, CMU, metal stud, and mass timber structures; develop retrofit and resiliency solutions; and use advanced modeling and BIM to support concept development and coordination. Prepare calculations, reports, and visualizations, maintain quality control, and contribute to project studies, safety planning, and technical presentations across multiple office locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform structural engineering design for new concrete, steel, light-frame wood, CMU, metal stud, and mass timber structures for residential, institutional, and commercial projects.
•Develop structural engineering solutions for reuse via structural retrofitting or resiliency assessments.
•Use advanced modeling, concept development, design requirements, and operating strategies to meet safety and end-user functionality needs.
•Support project coordination through remote/in-person meetings, technical sketches, BIM modeling, and site notebooks/logs.
•Prepare calculations, reports, and 2D/3D illustrations; maintain quality control and assist with technical reports, presentations, and safety plans.

Salary: USD 95,000 - 130,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
•3 to 5 years of relevant post-education engineering experience with structural or civil design.
•Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
•Knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/build application to project work.
•Experience with structural/seismic design principles, including ductility and finite element analysis (linear and non-linear).
