Job Summary

Provide product knowledge and help customers in a fast-paced inside sales environment for drywall and related building materials. Take orders by phone and at the sales counter, enter orders into the company computer system, and complete sales transactions including cash sales. Build customer relationships, develop product knowledge, address objections, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and coordinate with outside sales and sales managers on sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide product knowledge for building materials including drywall, insulation, metal studs, ceiling systems, stucco, construction tools, and safety items.
•Take customer orders at the sales counter and over the phone, entering orders using the company computer system.
•Complete sales orders and process cash sales.
•Develop product knowledge to assist customers with purchases and emphasize product features and benefits.
•Collaborate with outside sales reps and sales managers; overcome objections and prepare sales order forms/reports.
