Key Responsibilities

•Design and drive real-world evidence studies (retrospective cohort, claims-linked outcomes, PRO studies, and member surveys) from research question through final deliverable.
•Identify and propose evidence opportunities across Oura’s clinical and commercial portfolio, including health, utilization, cost, and workforce/productivity outcomes.
•Partner with data science to structure analytic datasets from Oura member data and linked claims sources for publication-ready results and actionable insights.
•Serve as the scientific point of contact for external research partners and represent Oura’s evidence work in cross-organizational study planning and execution.
•Support IRB submissions and data use agreements; contribute to abstracts/publications and present findings at conferences while creating partner-facing evidence outputs.

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree or PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Outcomes, or related field, with 8+ years of real-world evidence research experience (preferably in wearables).
•Expert observational study design and RWE methods, including retrospective cohort analyses, causal inference, and claims-based research.
•Hands-on experience generating evidence from wearable or connected-device data, including continuous physiological signal measurement and analysis considerations.
•Experience using additional real-world data sources (claims, EHR, registries) and familiarity with data linkage platforms.
•Experience with PRO instrument selection and survey study design.
