Key Responsibilities

  • •Encode diagnoses and procedures using ICD coding and CPT-4 guidelines.
  • •Abstract demographics and medical information from patient records into the coding/abstracting system.
  • •Ensure documentation is complete and coding is performed with high specificity for billing.
  • •Review electronic statements and claims for accuracy and align billed services with insurer approvals.
  • •Query physicians for clarification when needed and ensure daily productivity and timely closure of batches.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree (any field, medical preferred)
  • •CCS or CPC certification (AHIMA or AAPC)
  • •1-2 years experience in ICD-9-CM or ICD-10 coding
  • •Knowledge of UAE Health Insurance policy terms, coverage and exclusions
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and English; Arabic preferred
