Job Summary

Commercial Executive at a leading infrastructure/consulting firm responsible for safeguarding margin, managing commercial and contractual risk, and enabling confident delivery across major Australian projects. Reports to the Commercial Director, acts as trusted adviser on commercial performance, bid governance, and contract management to protect margins while delivering client outcomes on complex portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

•Commercial performance and risk ownership: Own commercial performance, risk identification, escalation, and management across assigned projects, portfolios or clients.
•Shaping bids and pursuits to ensure commercially realistic scopes, risk allocation and contracts that reflect delivery realities.
•Contract and claims discipline through delivery: Lead contract management frameworks, manage claims/variations and dispute avoidance to protect the company position.
•Protecting margin and intervening early: Monitor margins and intervene on early warning indicators related to scope drift or delivery challenges.
•Enabling confident decision-making: Provide commercially grounded advice to project directors and business leaders to support informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

•Must have significant experience in commercial, contracts or project management roles within complex project environments.
•Proven ability to safeguard margin, manage commercial risk and influence project delivery decisions.
•Experience shaping bids and pursits to ensure commercially realistic contracts and scope.
•Strong track record in contract and claims management, variations, and dispute avoidance.
•Clear, concise communication and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
