Key Responsibilities

  • •Own domain-specific hardware architecture, component selection, and detailed mechanical, electrical, optical, and test engineering.
  • •Lead the transition of high-precision active electro-optical systems from prototypes/EDUs through EMD into scaled, high-rate production.
  • •Lead hardware preparation and technical artifacts for milestones and readiness reviews, including SRR, PDR, CDR, and MRR.
  • •Own hardware side of New Product Introduction (NPI), coordinating and leading EDU and EMD-1 builds for field testing and DVT.
  • •Architect and build rugged manufacturing and optical test equipment; define and track hardware verification and validation (V+V) metrics.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in a technical field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, optical engineering, systems engineering, physics, or a hard science.
  • •8+ years developing and deploying complex electromechanical, electro-optical, or active sensing systems.
  • •Deep engineering breadth across mechanical, electrical, optical, and test with experience in system design, architecture definition, and performance modeling.
  • •Proven experience managing New Product Introduction (NPI) and scaling or sustainment of hardware at scale.
