Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain standards of documentation and data for aircraft engineering and flight line servicing to support the RSAF Typhoon Flying programme.
  • •Carry out engineering activities in accordance with approved data and associated regulations as directed by Trade Supervisors / Senior Supervisors.
  • •Perform specialist trade maintenance activities or flight line duties as required by the RSAF and directed by line management.
  • •Ensure continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities in their area of responsibility follow approved data and regulations, with engineering activity covered by appropriate delegated Engineering Authority.
  • •Support RSAF safety through high standards, FOD programme participation, completion of required safety forms, post-maintenance reviews, and adherence to the Safety and Quality Management System.

Key Requirements

  • •At least 3 years post-qualification practical maintenance experience in an operational flying aircraft environment with formal recorded workplace-applied training, or 3 years on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship programme (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
  • •A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA.
  • •Typhoon Avionics Q Course.
  • •Elementary knowledge/understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering.
  • •Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis appropriate to the role.
