Job Summary

Lead geotechnical engineering work for projects across pipelines, transportation corridors, dams, mining, and infrastructure as part of the Earth & Environment Group. Act as design engineer and project leader, review junior staff outputs, and scope and interpret field investigations, instrumentation, and subsurface explorations. Produce geotechnical recommendations, develop construction plans and estimates, coordinate with regulators and clients, and provide technical oversight and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as design engineer and manage geotechnical projects, including geohazard identification and monitoring.
•Work with cross-functional teams and coordinate across multiple sectors, fields, clients, regulators, and project sites.
•Review engineering deliverables prepared by junior staff, including drawings, specifications, work plans, calculations, and cost estimates.
•Scope, budget, execute, and interpret field work, reconnaissance, geotechnical instrumentation, and subsurface explorations with technical oversight.
•Provide technical direction, oversight, mentoring, and training to junior staff; interact with clients and regulatory agencies professionally.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnical practice.
•7 to 10 years of experience working as a geotechnical engineer.
•Knowledge of engineering research techniques and protocols.
•Ability to coordinate with clients, colleagues, and third-party groups to understand requirements.
•Proficiency with computer skills and software including Microsoft Office and geotechnical specialty software.
