Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, parametrize, and verify predictive models describing defect chemistry, mass transport during fabrication and field operation, and resulting device performance.
  • •Assess durability of device design and packaging for moisture ingress, electro-chemical corrosion, and abnormal operating conditions.
  • •Use models to optimize device architecture and fabrication processes to improve PV module performance and reliability; provide data-driven recommendations to management.
  • •Identify improvement opportunities in solar cell efficiency, material selection, and process/equipment design using engineering, scientific, or empirical methods.
  • •Improve material analysis and statistical analysis techniques and planning for experiments; may determine material and tool/equipment specifications and mentor junior peers.

Salary: USD 80,700 - 115,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline, with the listed combinations of education and relevant experience.
  • •Ph.D. option listed: Ph.D. in an engineering discipline (or similar technical discipline) without prior technical work experience.
  • •Technical expertise in photovoltaic processes and/or equipment development, including hands-on laboratory or manufacturing experience.
  • •In-depth knowledge across photovoltaic theory, materials science, process engineering, and characterization techniques relevant to PV technology.
  • •Strong project ownership and communication skills across organizations, with knowledge of Microsoft suite and statistical/engineering tools.
