Manage materials and support 24x7 on-call operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Install, accept, and maintain transport equipment, signaling (SS7), Private Line and Data Services, including CSU/DSU and customer premise equipment (CPE).
•Troubleshoot network equipment by isolating issues and restoring network service, including fiber quality testing and analysis of results.
•Perform installation/change/decommission and testing of transport, Ethernet, SONET, and IP network layers for available bandwidths, including end-user services.
•Locate, mark, and protect underground outside plant facilities without error using industry-standard software and hardware.
•Maintain tools and network equipment, perform preventive maintenance and inspections on critical infrastructure (e.g., HVAC and DC power plants), and coordinate shipping/receiving of materials.

Salary: USD 67,875 - 90,500 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years technician experience in a telecommunications/data center environment with knowledge of standard telecommunications practices.
•Master knowledge of telecommunications technologies including Transmission, Switching (SS7/trunking/signaling), and TCP/IP networking.
•Strong technical and mechanical background with experience on next-generation transport gear and critical infrastructure (HVAC, high-voltage electrical systems, DC power plants).
•Experience locating fiber optic cable, handling right-of-way As-Builts, and performing underground fiber optic cable locating without error.
•Possess a valid state vehicle operator's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
