Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct information system security engineering activities, capturing and refining aircraft and ground support security requirements and ensuring effective integration into information systems via security architecting, design, development, and configuration.
  • •Implement security requirements and safeguards for the F-35 Air System, including supporting daily cybersecurity engineering, overseeing CS-related deliverables, and verifying POA&M resolution and continuous monitoring activities.
  • •Ensure Security Authorization Packages (SAP) are accurate, complete, and delivered to the appropriate government oversight and witness compliance testing for Test Readiness Reviews (TRR).
  • •Manage embedded resources (level of effort), train and supplement other ISSE/IASAEs, and provide counsel to DCI leadership.
  • •Assist with interpreting requirements into security design and develop Air System cybersecurity policies and instructions issued program-wide by the F-35 CISO.

Key Requirements

  • •Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI ability to obtain preferred).
  • •5+ years designing/developing organizational information systems or upgrading legacy systems with security controls and secure design/architecture/coding practices.
  • •1+ year practical airframe/weapon system security experience in secure network/system design, analysis, and security procedure/test generation and execution.
  • •5 years in system security Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and 5 years in vulnerability assessment and/or risk analysis.
  • •DoD 8140 - Intermediate certification and an MS/MA/BS/BA in a related cyber security/technical or IT discipline (with allowable F-35 IT major defense acquisition systems substitution).
