Key Responsibilities

  • •Work from procedures, drawings, and work instructions to layout, fabricate, assemble, modify, and inspect jet engine assemblies and test articles.
  • •Assemble/disassemble jet engines or APUs, operate support utilities to run test articles, monitor instrumentation, and perform engine service during test.
  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, and reconfigure test stands, test systems, test equipment, and support systems; complete required reporting and documentation/sign-off.
  • •Prepare test articles for delivery to the test cell and de-prep/dismount/preserve test articles for shipment after assembly.
  • •Ensure all work is performed according to Pratt & Whitney EHS and Quality policies and support department objectives.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or GED.
  • •1+ years of formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing or 1+ years of automotive training or experience.
  • •Knowledge of FAA and aviation standards, jet engine design and operation, jet engine hardware and components, and instrumentation installations.
  • •Ability to perform jet engine assembly or test stand experience and pass functional checks aligned with quality standards.
  • •Preferred: A&P license and 4+ years in a similar function, plus prior MRO/FAR 145 repair station experience.
