Key Responsibilities

  • •Edit original short- and long-form videos across news, investigative journalism, culture, and humor, incorporating archival research, animation, sound design, and motion graphics.
  • •Oversee video post-production workflows by setting priorities and timelines, reviewing work, and shepherding videos through editorial closing including fact checking, copy editing, and legal review.
  • •Review video submissions and work with filmmakers to prepare films for publication.
  • •Shepherd video projects through pre-production, production, and distribution, providing creative input and production coordination as requested.
  • •Independently produce and shoot videos, pitch creative ideas from article drafts, and collaborate with producers, editors, and reporters on effective video storytelling.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 98,450 - 110,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Five or more years of experience in digital video, with an emphasis on journalism or documentary.
  • •Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and comfort with After Effects.
  • •Experience coordinating post-production, including color, sound, and graphics.
