Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and execute engineering projects, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and quality completion.
  • •Review and interpret blueprints for gas detection layouts to validate correct sensor placement for toxic, flammable, or oxygen-depleting gases.
  • •Supervise field installation, wiring, and integration of gas detectors, control panels, and alarm systems.
  • •Lead startup, functional testing, and bumping/calibration of specialized gas sensing equipment.
  • •Ensure quality and safety compliance to contract requirements, environmental rules, and industrial safety laws, including troubleshooting complex on-site issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record coordinating projects with direct experience in gas detection, fire and gas (F&G) systems, or industrial automation.
  • •Strong understanding of sensor technologies including electrochemical, catalytic bead, infrared, and photoionization detector (PID) sensors.
  • •Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems and gas calibration tools.
  • •Ability to review and interpret blueprints for gas detection layouts to ensure correct sensor placement.
  • •Knowledge of compliance requirements and safe execution of installations, testing, and commissioning activities (e.g., OSHA, IECEx, ATEX).
