Key Responsibilities

  • •Detain, process, safeguard, escort, and transport detainees per contract requirements while maintaining order and discipline.
  • •Enforce detention facility rules and regulations and provide care, custody, and control of detainees.
  • •Use authorized intermediate weapons and maintain required armed-officer equipment (e.g., ballistic vests, pistol, restraints) including quarterly weapon requalification.
  • •Conduct security and sanitation checks, perform vehicle inspections, and keep legible, complete transportation and processing logbooks.
  • •Augment staff as needed and support detainee housing, feeding, and physical well-being around the clock; complete training and follow safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •1+ year experience as a law enforcement, military, or security officer in detention functions, or 2 years of college in an appropriate field from an accredited institution.
  • •US citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident with at least five years of US residence.
  • •High school diploma or GED; pass criminal background and consumer credit checks (no criminal record).
  • •Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance; pass pre-employment and random drug tests, plus a medical exam meeting health requirements.
  • •Be at least 21 years old, maintain physical fitness standards, and hold a valid Puerto Rico firearms license and a driver’s license (Cat4 preferred).
