Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide oversight for the NERC CIP program to ensure periodic requirements, reviews, testing, and evidence collection are completed on time for audit readiness.
  • •Serve as the primary liaison to auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders on NERC CIP compliance matters.
  • •Interpret NERC CIP and applicable cyber security standards, assess business implications of updates, and coordinate internal reviews/feedback for regulatory bodies.
  • •Manage NERC standards development participation and act as the primary voting/balloting representative for CIP matters.
  • •Lead corrective actions by identifying anomalies/non-compliances, performing root cause analyses, escalating issues, developing remediation plans, and preparing responsive audit materials, metrics, and reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cyber security, business administration, or related field (experience may substitute).
  • •8-10+ years in regulatory compliance, audit, or cyber security within the electric utility or IPP sector.
  • •Proven experience implementing and maintaining a NERC CIP program for an integrated utility or IPP.
  • •Demonstrated ability to understand NERC CIP standards and produce audit-ready policies/procedures, including RSAWs and evidentiary documentation for regulators.
  • •Experience with NERC-specific tools (e.g., Align, SEL, SBS) and GRC/compliance management tools (e.g., Sigmaflow, RSA Archer), plus strong communication across stakeholders.
