Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical systems (including electrical/brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials) and conduct road tests as needed.
  • •Use test instruments and sound judgment to identify equipment issues, evaluate alternatives, and triage complicated repairs relied upon by technicians.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document all work and findings (including photos and parts used) on Repair Orders via company-issued iOS device and TRAIT application; accurately complete DOT forms and manage daily schedule with high independence.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with at least 3 years’ related experience (or an equivalent combination such as additional certification or 5 years’ related experience).
  • •At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required duties.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card with required remaining validity (or ability to complete DOT physical) and ability to pass DOT-regulated background screening and DOT physical.
  • •Hold required/obtain within 18 months: ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609 (plus preferred OEM training/certifications).
