Key Responsibilities

  • •Support geophysical investigations from field data acquisition through processing, interpretation, mapping, and reporting.
  • •Support terrestrial, marine, and borehole investigations using methods such as seismic refraction/reflection, MASW, GPR, electromagnetics, magnetics, electrical resistivity imaging, borehole logging, downhole/crosshole seismic, and related survey techniques.
  • •Perform technical office work including geophysical data processing and interpretation, GIS analysis and mapping, CAD development, data management, quality control, technical documentation, and report preparation.
  • •Participate in field investigations by setting up and operating specialized geophysical and survey instrumentation, deploying sensors/cables, operating seismic sources, conducting field data quality control, troubleshooting, and mobilizing equipment.
  • •Maintain organized field documentation and digital data, perform quality-control checks, and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams while increasing responsibility over time.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Geosciences, Geological Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography/GIS, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License required for travel to project sites, client locations, and other AECOM offices (must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review).
  • •U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
  • •Ability and willingness to travel up to approximately 50% to support field investigations, including occasional multi-week assignments.
  • •Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new equipment, software, and technical procedures.
