Key Responsibilities

•Develop new, revised, or modified technical procedures enabling safe, correct execution for dimensional inspection, material testing, metrology, procurement, radiography, and weld inspection.
•Comply with Y15-232, the Technical Procedure Process, and the Technical Procedure Authoring Tool (TPAT).
•Occasionally develop or revise administrative procedures and comply with Y15-235, the Administrative Management Requirements Process, and the Administrative Procedure Authoring Tool (APAT).
•Develop Enterprise procedures applicable to Y-12 and Pantex, and prepare and coordinate procedure reviews and comment resolution.
•Implement hazard controls, capture quality and performance data, and ensure procedures can be performed as written through verification and validation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 85,888 - 146,043 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science degree with 20+ years’ experience in technical disciplines and experience writing technical procedures in a commercial or Weapons Complex facility; in lieu of a degree, 18 years’ experience writing technical procedures in a commercial nuclear or Weapons Complex may be considered.
•Familiarity with regulatory and administrative requirements for procedures, including determining applicable technical requirements by examining DOE Orders and Standards plus specified quality and safety documentation (60-101PD, Y60-015, NCS, and Hazard Analysis).
•Active DOE Q clearance (or ability to obtain one).
•Comply with pre-employment drug screening requirements (post-offer, pre-employment drug test).
•Be able to complete job-related pre-placement medical examinations if required.
