Job Summary

Lead geotechnical engineering efforts across multi-site/phase projects for public and private clients, providing subject-matter technical support and guidance from proposal through construction completion. Oversee investigations, design, permitting, remediation, and impact assessment for foundations, retention structures, tunnels, dams, and underground storage. Manage budgets, supervise subcontractors and staff, ensure QA/QC and safety, and present technical findings while mentoring teams and identifying business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide oversight for collecting, compiling, and analyzing site and geotechnical data to support project development, design, and construction.
•Apply advanced geotechnical/geological engineering techniques across concept development through construction and operations for complex infrastructure projects.
•Conduct complex investigations and inspections of existing and proposed site conditions to determine compliance with applicable rules, standards, and permits.
•Develop construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates, including safety/phasing plans and coordination with owners and other disciplines.
•Lead larger-scale geotechnical projects, manage budgets, track hours/expenses, supervise subcontractors/employees, and mentor staff while ensuring QA/QC and safety.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
•10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and geotechnical design.
•Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
•Highly proficient in geotechnical engineering principles/practices, analysis and design, and applying them to permitting and project work.
•Experience with planning, design, and program/construction management including rehabilitation/reconstruction and new design/construction projects.
