Key Responsibilities

  • •Participate in electrical preconstruction planning from bid/award through early mobilization.
  • •Develop initial and phased master schedules integrating design milestones, procurement lead times, long-lead items, site logistics, and commissioning.
  • •Produce and validate conceptual and detailed cost plans with estimators, identifying cost drivers and value-engineering opportunities.
  • •Assess constructability and develop mitigation plans for site constraints and MEP coordination across complex project types.
  • •Create procurement strategies for long-lead and electrical specialty packages and prepare logistics/sequencing plans; present reports and recommendations to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Engineering or Construction Management plus 6 years of relevant construction experience (or equivalent).
  • •Experience in preconstruction, planning, or project engineering for large commercial/institutional projects with significant electrical scope.
  • •Ability to develop CPM schedules (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and electrical cost models.
  • •Strong knowledge of electrical systems including distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, ATS, MCCs, lighting, emergency/standby power, and low-voltage systems.
  • •Experience with electrical one-line diagrams, load calculations, fault current/coordination studies, and commissioning/acceptance testing.
