Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment systems (e.g., electrical, brakes, cooling, HVAC, engines, transmissions, steering, clutches, differentials).
  • •Use test instruments and road tests to inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to determine malfunctions.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain safety by operating the service vehicle, performing pre-/post-trip inspections, documenting repair orders (including photos), and completing DOT forms and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years’ experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education/certification and experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the required job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) T8 (PMI) certification within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and a DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license; Class C driver’s license required.
