Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop backend services for a grocery storefront, including catalog, categories, search, PDP, cart, and checkout.
  • •Handle store- or user-location-dependent catalogs and assortments, including frequently changing prices, inventory, discounts, and availability.
  • •Validate cart before checkout (prices, availability, quantity limits, minimum order value, and store restrictions) and support grocery scenarios like weighted products, unavailable items, and substitutions.
  • •Integrate with catalog, pricing, inventory, order, payment, and delivery services, including onboarding grocery partners with different APIs and data models.
  • •Ensure low latency, high availability, resilience, and implement end-to-end observability (metrics, logging, dashboards, tracing).

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of commercial backend engineering in high-load environments with experience solving complex problems.
  • •Strong Go programming skills, including applying advanced Go language features.
  • •Strong SQL knowledge, including schema design, scaling strategies (replication, partitioning, sharding), and query optimization.
  • •In-depth knowledge of Redis, including efficient use of its data structures in high-load systems.
  • •Experience building and operating systems with Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes (or analogs), and cloud infrastructure such as AWS.
