Job Summary

Lead UX design for mission-critical mobile public safety applications, shaping multimodal and AI-driven experiences from concept through delivery. Partner with Product, Engineering, and Research to translate complex voice workflows into user-centered, trustworthy interactions. Use AI literacy (ML, NLP, generative AI) and voice UI expertise to define interaction models, dialog flows, and personas, and to guide user research and usability testing for VUI and spoken feedback.

•Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to ensure alignment and success.
•Lead the design and development of intuitive voice user interfaces (VUI) and multimodal experiences for mission-critical applications.
•Define and refine voice interaction models, dialog flows, and persona guidelines for AI-driven features.
•Conduct user research and usability testing focused on voice commands, spoken feedback, and multimodal interactions.
•Contribute to best practices and ethical guidelines for human-AI interaction, and communicate findings and design concepts to diverse audiences.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of proven experience in design (UX/CX, interaction or product design) with voice user interface (VUI) or multimodal interaction design experience.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in HCI, Design, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
•Strong understanding of AI concepts including Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Generative AI, including ethical considerations.
•Proven experience designing and prototyping voice user interfaces, including grammars, intents, slots, and dialog flows.
•Portfolio demonstrating exceptional UX design for apps and services, with projects or thinking related to AI and voice/conversational design.
