Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a team lead and/or project and discipline lead on BRT planning, preliminary, and final design work.
  • •Oversee multidisciplinary teams producing BRT infrastructure engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids.
  • •Prepare and/or review multimodal street design and participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.
  • •Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates, and provide input to engineering budget and schedule.
  • •Perform quality control on design calculations/drawings and coordinate work with limited supervision; provide leadership and mentorship to entry-level engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Engineering + 8 years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • •Proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D or Microstation/Power InRoads/Power GeoPak/OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
  • •Roadway design experience, including Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and/or Light Rail Transit (LRT) design experience.
  • •US Citizenship is required.
  • •Working knowledge of required design standards and best practices (local and national) is expected.
