Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan subsurface investigations (drilling exploration boreholes, CPTs, and other onsite geotechnical tests) at Northern California sites.
  • •Review and assess soil and rock samples for laboratory testing.
  • •Supervise and inspect construction activities to monitor progress and verify conformance to engineering plans and standards.
  • •Perform geotechnical and seismic stability analyses for dams and related infrastructure, including slope stability, seepage, settlement, liquefaction, and deformation impacts.
  • •Prepare geotechnical engineering reports and recommendations, support design/specifications/construction documents, and help with permitting, QA/QC, and proposals/business development.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS plus 6 years of related experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Ability to plan subsurface investigations, including drilling exploration boreholes, CPTs, and other onsite geotechnical tests.
  • •Experience performing geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, seepage, settlement, earth retention, liquefaction, and foundations.
  • •Proficiency using geotechnical and design tools and software (e.g., Excel, AutoCAD, and analysis platforms).
  • •California Professional Engineer (PE) license and strong written and verbal communication skills.
