Job Summary

Apply in-depth subsea expertise to solve complex subsea problems and improve the subsea discipline across McDermott’s projects. Serve as a technical resource to colleagues with less experience, provide tender engineering support (document review, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, vendor selection), and lead procurement/design/installation engineering analysis. Own technical reports, calculations, and interfaces with subcontractors and verification bodies, while supporting site visits and offshore trips when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide specialist subsea engineering and analysis knowledge, including design codes and installation engineering, to improve subsea deliverables.
•Coordinate daily subsea engineering activities and schedule priorities under limited supervision.
•Provide tender engineering support, including document review, subcontractor document preparation, CTR preparation, bid evaluation, and vendor selection.
•Support subsea projects as a lead for procurement, design, and installation engineering/analysis, including technical reports, design calculations, and third-party interfaces.
•Perform installation analysis for SURF projects and support project/progress meetings, audits, and technical documentation, while mentoring graduates and junior engineers.

Key Requirements

•8-15 years of experience in oil and gas with a contractor or consultant performing detail design.
•Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
•Experience designing and analyzing subsea equipment, including risers, pipelines, subsea structures, and umbilicals.
•Experience with industry-standard design/installation analysis software (e.g., Orcaflex, Pipelay, Offpipe, Abaqus).
•Working knowledge of English (oral and written) and familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and guidelines, with HSE/TQM and cost-conscious mindset.
