Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a technical lead and take ownership of discipline-specific assignments, coordinating engineering professionals and technical teams.
  • •Prepare and author technical reports and calculation packages for hydraulic studies, energy production simulations, transient flow analyses, and dam safety assessments.
  • •Perform feasibility studies, preliminary design, and detailed engineering for hydropower developments and pumped storage facilities (including powerhouses, dams, spillways, and diversion structures).
  • •Run hydraulic and hydrodynamic numerical modelling, including dam breach analyses using 1D, 2D, and 3D models.
  • •Conduct quality reviews of technical studies and provide technical oversight and mentorship to engineers.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 130,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Water Resources Engineering or Hydraulic Engineering (or related field).
  • •Registered Professional Engineer and member of OIQ, or eligible for registration.
  • •Minimum 15 years of experience in hydraulic design for hydropower developments, hydraulic modeling, and dam safety engineering.
  • •Strong working knowledge of the HEC software suite (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, etc.).
  • •Fluency in French (written and spoken) and excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
