Job Summary

Lead and mentor a generation electrical engineering team in Houston, directing design of power generation projects, switchyard upgrades, and project proposals. Manage financial and technical performance, coordinate cross-functional engineers, planners and construction professionals, ensure data integrity and compliance with codes, and oversee design and construction of electrical infrastructure from inception to completion for power generation facilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee and provide leadership for a team of electrical engineers and designers on generation power projects
•Lead projects involving power plant and switchyard electrical system upgrades and related design work
•Direct development of project proposals and budgets, and manage financial performance of the team
•Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute design and construction activities with QA/QC adherence
•Recommend and enforce safe, compliant practices and timely delivery across multiple concurrent projects

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
•12+ years of post-education experience in electrical engineering for power generation projects
•Engineering license required (multi-state preferred)
•Experience in detailed design engineering, relay coordination and schematic design for power generation projects
•Experience leading a project team or department and delivering complex technical deliverables
