Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and DOT inspections with follow-up repairs for various vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic components, including using test instruments and road testing.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the service vehicle, including safety checks and daily pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work according to company standards by completing DOT forms and Repair Orders, including uploading photos and findings using an iOS device and the proprietary TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative combination such as other degree/certification or 5 years’ experience).
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
  • •Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity).
  • •Hold a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
