Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the preparation and maintenance of geospatial datasets based on catastrophe models.
  • •Learn to transform model outputs to meet data standards and client-specific needs.
  • •Help to prepare and load geospatial data into underwriting applications and other third-party tools.
  • •Maintain close cooperation with other Impact Forecasting teams.
  • •Apply a technical and analytical mindset, and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Key Requirements

  • •High school education with school leaving exam is required; Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
  • •Practical experience processing geospatial data – QGIS or other GIS tools knowledge is required.
  • •Python or another scripting language (e.g. R or Matlab) is considered an advantage.
  • •Familiarity with geospatial data formats (especially raster) and willingness to learn.
  • •Basic knowledge of SQL or databases concepts is a plus.
