Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and develop Protection & Control engineers and technical specialists.
  • •Develop, refine, and optimize P&C solutions including key line diagrams, schematic diagrams, relay settings, SCADA topology diagrams, wiring diagrams, and interface drawings.
  • •Review and comment on supplier designs and calculations as an Owner’s Engineer for HV clients, including BESS and renewables projects.
  • •Conduct protection coordination studies and settings calculations where required, using ETAP (desired).
  • •Ensure design submissions comply with codes and standards (e.g., IEEE/IEC/National Grid), perform quality control reviews, and prepare technical specification sections.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • •HV Plant Design for EHV Grid Substations experience is mandatory.
  • •Experience in P&C FEED or detailed design for high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV).
  • •Experience with Protection and Control scheme drawings, relay coordination and settings, and substation SCADA and communication protocols is preferred.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) is required, with 12–15 years of work experience preferred.
