Job Summary

Work as the technical bridge between hardware design teams and contract manufacturing partners to bring advanced SMT, high-layer-count PCA designs through the NPI lifecycle. You’ll drive DFM improvements, optimize high-layer PCB manufacturing and BGA assembly, lead process validation and failure analysis, manage ECOs and version control via PLM, and continuously improve yield, scalability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive PCA design efforts and resolve DFM issues for SMT and system integration.
•Optimize high-layer-count PCB manufacturing and BGA assembly to improve yield and quality.
•Lead process validation, troubleshooting, and failure analysis to support manufacturing readiness.
•Manage NPI lifecycles from prototype through full production.
•Manage ECOs and version control via PLM systems and develop SMT/PCB assembly best practices aligned to IPC standards.

Key Requirements

•BS/MS in Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering with 5-7+ years of NPI engineering experience in advanced SMT and high-layer-count PCB assembly.
•Strong circuit debugging, troubleshooting, and failure/root cause analysis, including 8D methodology.
•Knowledge of Design for Excellence (DFx), including DFM, DFR, DFT, DFC, and DFQ.
•Proficiency with PLM systems (e.g., Propel, Agile) to manage ECO/MCO/DEV/PCN processes.
•Experience managing product lifecycles from prototype to end-of-life, including BOM risk assessment, second sourcing, and component qualification.
