Job Summary

Perform weekend testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of electronic/avionics equipment under close or general supervision. Set up and operate precision test equipment (including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers), conduct functional and calibration checks, analyze circuitry and wiring to locate malfunctions, and complete difficult electrical/mechanical repair and assembly operations using authorized documentation.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up and operate precision test equipment to align, troubleshoot, and test electrical equipment and systems.
•Conduct functional tests to verify operation and calibration of test stations, components, equipment, and systems.
•Analyze circuitry and inspect wiring to locate malfunction sources during testing.
•Align and adjust advanced electrical components using established test procedures.
•Perform difficult electrical/mechanical repair work, including disassembly/assembly, and install modifications per Service Bulletin or authorized documentation.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

•Prior experience troubleshooting to component-level is preferred.
•Prior soldering experience in a related environment is preferred.
