Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead civil engineering design efforts for airport development projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and related facilities.
  • •Provide technical leadership as a subject matter expert within the aviation civil engineering group and oversee design activities such as airfield layout, grading, drainage, pavement design, and stormwater management.
  • •Prepare and review construction documents, including plans, specifications, schedules, design reports, and cost estimates.
  • •Coordinate utility design, environmental permitting, and regulatory compliance with multidisciplinary teams, clients, utilities, and regulatory agencies.
  • •Support construction activities through shop drawing reviews, contractor inquiry responses, inspections, and provide oversight, mentorship, and guidance to engineers, designers, and CAD staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related engineering degree) and 8 years of related civil experience (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •US Citizenship required due to projects associated with the position.
  • •Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites and clients; must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
  • •Advanced experience using AutoCAD/Civil 3D for developing and reviewing engineering plans and calculations.
  • •Experience with airport or airfield civil engineering design and strong understanding of FAA standards; ability to lead projects and teams.
