Job Summary

Assist Herd Technicians with routine animal care and general farm tasks to ensure animal welfare at the boar stud site. Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform animal husbandry duties including basic veterinary procedures. Help move animals and maintain efficient flows, sanitize and wash farm areas using high-pressure equipment, and collect boars and process semen in the on-site laboratory. Maintain production records, follow SOPs, and comply with environmental, safety, and biosecurity requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Feed, water, vaccinate, and perform general animal husbandry tasks including basic veterinary procedures.
•Maintain flexibility to adjust plans per farm leadership direction.
•Assist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flows.
•Sanitize and wash farm areas using high pressure equipment.
•Collect boars, process collection in the on-site laboratory, and distribute semen doses to sow farms; maintain accurate production information and update department records.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 16 hourly

•Previous livestock handling experience is helpful.
•Ability to perform hard physical labor and work an average 48-hour week.
•Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed and be on call for emergencies.
