Key Responsibilities

  • •Plan and execute VM migrations using VMware HCX methods such as vMotion, Bulk Migration, Cold Migration, and Replication Assisted vMotion.
  • •Deploy, configure, and manage VMware HCX components including Manager, Interconnect, WAN Optimization, and Network Extension.
  • •Assess and discover workloads to ensure migration readiness, including handling L2 network extension to minimize downtime.
  • •Troubleshoot migration issues and optimize performance during execution.
  • •Validate post-migration workloads to ensure application functionality and maintain documentation for plans, runbooks, and execution reports.

Key Requirements

  • •2–5 years of experience in virtualization and cloud migration with VMware HCX.
  • •Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and VMware HCX migrations.
  • •Good understanding of networking concepts including VLAN, VPN, routing, and firewalls.
  • •Experience with cloud platforms such as VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, or GCP.
  • •VMware certifications (VCP-DCV preferred) and HCX deployment/migration experience are advantageous.
