Key Responsibilities

  • •Hire and mentor the SecOps team of technical security professionals.
  • •Define SecOps security standards and playbooks, and own the SOC architecture and design.
  • •Analyse and continuously improve Canonical’s security architecture and posture.
  • •Evaluate, select, and implement new security tools and practices; identify, contain, and guide remediation of threats.
  • •Develop SecOps learning materials and drive threat modeling, tabletop exercises, KPIs, and agile delivery of SecOps work.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record mitigating advanced threats, including nation-state threats.
  • •Expert understanding of SOC architecture and design, including logging, firewalls, network segmentation, and honeypots.
  • •Deep hands-on expertise in Linux security and effective incident response playbooks (define, implement, automate, measure).
  • •Knowledge of security tools and security risk management frameworks such as NIST CSF.
  • •Strong leadership and people-management ability, including hiring, mentoring, and leading technical security professionals.
