Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and oversee multiple field crews, including day-to-day operations and schedule coordination across projects and locations.
  • •Ensure field teams follow strict safety and quality guidelines and complete work within communicated schedule/budget.
  • •Read and interpret utility drawings, as-builts, GIS files, and other utility records; initiate, track, and document utility records requests.
  • •Use advanced geophysical equipment and observational skills to identify, designate, and locate utilities (including vacuum excavation) per ASCE 38-02 and 38-22.
  • •Perform field audits, QA/QC of SUE field data (including subcontractors), troubleshoot technical issues, and mentor junior field staff.

Key Requirements

  • •BS degree plus 4 years of related experience (or AS degree plus 6 years, or High School plus 8 years).
  • •SUE and/or private utility locating experience with a demonstrated commitment to quality and attention to detail.
  • •Experience and understanding of SUE practices and procedures in accordance with ASCE 38-02 and 38-22.
  • •Valid U.S. Driver’s License and willingness to travel frequently to field locations, including overnight travel.
  • •Ability to perform frequent lifting (up to 50 pounds), daily walking several miles outdoors, and work in varied seasonal weather and uneven terrains.
