Job Summary

Oversee all financial and accounting operations for Talley Construction, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with external regulations. Lead and collaborate with finance and operational leaders to manage risk, support growth initiatives, coordinate audits, review month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations, and help shape budgets, reforecasts, and strategic plans including acquisitions and major CAPEX requests.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee day-to-day finance team support across accounting, accounts receivable, payroll, procurement, and material sales activities.
•Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, including month-end flash/close and balance sheet reconciliations with proper backup.
•Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard financial assets, including SOX and applicable accounting policies and procedures.
•Coordinate external and internal audit requests and documentation.
•Support leadership with financial analysis, budgets and reforecasts, strategic planning, and board proposals for acquisitions and major CAPEX requests.

Key Requirements

•Oversee all financial and accounting operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
•Serve as a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to communicate financial insights across all levels.
•Ensure adequate internal controls are installed and maintained, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and company accounting policies and procedures.
•Coordinate documentation and requests for external and internal audits.
•Review balance sheet accounts monthly and support accurate quarterly US GAAP schedules and variance explanations.
