Key Responsibilities

  • •Install single and multi-mode optical and copper cabling in structured cabling environments.
  • •Inspect and clean optical cabling and connections, following cabling standards.
  • •Test installed cables using a Fluke Versiv Mainframe and support verification activities.
  • •Patch cabling between network equipment and the customer network; install/swap network equipment cables (cables, switches, routers, etc.).
  • •Complete Move, Add, Change (MAC) requests within service levels and provide layer 1 infrastructure break-fix and troubleshooting support.

Key Requirements

  • •2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably at least 1 year in a data center environment.
  • •In-depth knowledge of structured cabling, including IEEE and BICSI cabling standards.
  • •Ability to clean, measure, transmit, and receive on high-speed single and multi-mode optical connections.
  • •Experienced with Fluke Versiv Mainframe for testing installed cables.
  • •Must be able to work shift work including nights and weekends, and safely lift heavy objects.
